But that’s the beauty of Motherhood. There’s no destination. Just trusting and enjoying the journey every step of the way. I know what it’s like to be at the starting line having no idea what’s about to happen or when, constantly worrying if this week is going to bring nausea, lower back pain or swelling. If Baby is growing and healthy, if your birthing time aka labor is going to be the worst, most painful experience of your life. If you're going to be able to breastfeed or have to buy formula. If you’re actually going to feel that instant love connection with your Baby the moment they’re in your arms. After years of having thoughts such as these and hearing all the traumatic stories of other mamas, I, too, was unsure and filled with anxiety surrounding birth. Luckily, my intuition told me otherwise.
Through listening to my intuition and allowing my natural inclination for knowledge and wisdom to run rampant, I learned so much about what actually causes the prenatal ailments, what our bodies are actually doing during birth and what drives their action and the reasons why many mamas experience various forms of postpartum depression and more. In securing this wisdom, I empowered myself to make the necessary changes to have a pregnancy free from nausea, anemia, gestational diabetes and all the other prenatal ailments and go on to freebirth my Daughter at home in the water with no medical providers present, no hemorrhaging, no tearing, no complications whatsoever as a first time mama. Not only did I come out of my birthing time without pain and have an amazing pregnancy, I reclaimed my strength, my confidence, my power, not only as a person, but as a Sacred Feminine Being.

I’m here as a living example that it does not have to be. Intuiting what is best for you and ultimately best for Baby is the best way to blissful, ailment free pregnancy. Like the old saying goes, our food is our medicine. This couldn’t ring truer for a pregnant Mama. What we eat prior to and during pregnancy can determine whether we experience hyperemesis gravidarum or extreme nausea, leg cramping and so much more. There is no one diet or way of eating that works for any person. Here is where eating intuitively and intentionally is key.

Record how certain foods affect your physical, mental and emotional wellbeing, allowing you to identify which foods energize.
